Midstream College’s Bulletjie Rugby is made up of the Grade R (U6), Grade 1 (U7), and Grade 2 (U8) players. Rip-rugby is played where contact is avoided so that the focus can be on developing skills. A smaller player can, therefore “tackle” a big player by just grabbing the rip. Contact rugby is only phased in, in Grade 3 (U9).  During training, the focus is on developing the players’ skills, fitness and safety as well as cultivating a love for rugby.
