The Percussion Band (Isicathulo) is a “gumboot dance” group that consists of a maximum of 50 learners. Members of this group wear gumboots while they discover and develop their rhythmic skills. Requirements are the ability to feel rhythm, lots of energy, teamwork and commitment.  Auditions will consist of a simple exercise, to assess children’s rhythmic skills. Learners in Grade 4 – 7 are welcome to join Isicathulo.
