FROM THE OFFICE

“Exercise not only changes your body, it changes your mind, your attitude and your mood.” – Anonymous.

It is so good to see so many learners busy with outdoor activities at school.
We are also pleased to see so many learners being active in the many cultural activities that have started up.

Let’s keep up this positive attitude in 2023.

YADAH

This week we pray for:
…all the leaders of the school. We pray that God will give every leader involved with our school strength, so they do not grow weary in their leadership role. We pray that the leaders of our school will display wisdom, courage, generosity and kindness when making decisions and that everyone will clearly see God’s hand in their daily conduct.

MIDSTREAM CARES – BE INVOLVED!

Each year, Midstream College Primary School reaches out to families in need by providing basic non-perishable food and other household items. Together with KSM, we want to distribute food optimally and effectively to families in need. Food bags are filled by Midstream families every month and delivered to the school, whereafter they are handed over to KSM for distribution. Alternatively, you can choose to sponsor bags during the year by paying the amount per bag directly into the church’s account each month. This is an easy way to get involved in charity work and involve your children in a caring project.

If you wish to support this project, please register by clicking on the link below after which you will receive more information.

CELLO

Has your child always wanted to play an instrument? Could cello become their favourite instrument?
The Music Studio will be running a special for 2023 for all the children who would like to take up cello as an instrument.
Details:
• Two learners may share a lesson, which means half price for the term of R945 per term per learner.
• Practising on a cello is a must. Bring your own cello or rent one at a discounted price of R240 per month (usually from R380 per month).

Please contact Ms Wendy Nieuwoudt on wendyn@midstreamcollege.co.za should you be interested in cello lessons.

MUSIC STUDIO

The past year has been a very successful year in the Music department, with winners in different categories at various competitions. We have talented, professional musicians offering music lessons. Students attend 30 lessons per year with the payment thereof divided into 4 instalments. The lessons are 30 minutes per week and the music lessons are attended at the Midstream College studios. Music lessons take place in school hours during non-academic periods such as: L.O., Music, and Art, as well as after school.

The department is in high demand and a limited amount of space is available for 2023. If you are interested in enrolling your child for lessons for 2023, please follow the following link for more information on the webpage.
