SPRINGFEST - 10 SEPTEMBER
After weeks of advertisements and social media posts to get us eager and excited, Saturday 10th of September finally arrived and we were able to open our school gates to enjoy our Springfest. What an amazing day was had by the greater Midstream community. We were blessed with not a Spring day but a lovely sunny Summer's day. The fields were a buzz with the excitement of children jumping, bouncing or sliding on the inflatable games and enjoying the numerous rides. Adults socialised and enjoyed the company of friends and family. The market stalls and food vendors were a treat for the young and old. The constant entertainment by top class artists added to the festive atmosphere. Thank you to the organisers and helpers for a most successful day. A big thank you to each family that supported and enjoyed the day with us - a Springfest would not be possible without you there.
We look forward to Springfest 2023! Save the date: 9 September 2023!

YADAH
This week we pray for:
Small businesses in our community. We pray for the owners of small, local businesses that pour their heart and soul into their enterprises. For most small business owners, their businesses are not just another shop, restaurant or company but a lifelong dream. We pray for God’s guidance for these owners and for our Father’s grace and blessings over their businesses.

VISIT FROM AUTHOR AND FOUNDER OF THE LEARN PROJECT – ROSLYNNE TOERIEN
On Friday, 23 September, highly acclaimed children’s author and CEO and Founder of the South African Non-Profit Trust, ‘The LEARN Project’, Roslynne Toerien, will be visiting our Grade 1 – Grade 5 learners. She lives by the motto ‘Small actions lead to big change’ and this can be seen in the number of school LEARN library doors that have been opened and minds that have been unlocked through the power of books and literacy. She will be sharing with us regarding the writing process as well as the privilege of reading. She will also be reading to us from two of her books, ‘The Rumbling Rhino’ and ‘Under the Baobab Tree’.
We cannot wait to welcome this dynamic lady to our school!

NEW YADAH PROJECT: PET FOOD
No one needs to wonder whether pets are loved and cared for in Midstream! Our children’s faces light up when they get the opportunity to talk about their pets. For our next project, we will collect any dog and cat food, which we will donate to various organisations, including PawsRUs, Wet Nose and the SPCA. Should you wish to participate in this project, please send any bag of pet food to your child’s register teacher. Thank you!
