Easter reminds us that Jesus, with His death on the cross, first broke the power of sin and then, with His resurrection, the power of death. These two victories give us true and total salvation. In His power of victory, lies our hope and joy. Easter is a time to rejoice and be grateful for what Jesus has done for each of us.

GOLF 2022

Learners who are skilled enough to play nine holes on their own, will be given the opportunity to join other golfers on Tuesdays, where they will be able to play nine holes under supervision. This arrangement will start on 19 April and will continue until 14 June 2022 (excluding the following dates: 26 April, 24 May and 31 May). Players must report to the golf course at 14:00. In order to adhere to the Covid-19 regulations, we need to compile a list of the learners who are interested in playing golf on Tuesdays. Therefore, please send Mr. Kotze an email with your child’s name, surname and grade. THESE SESSIONS ARE NOT COACHING SESSIONS but provide learners, who can already play, an opportunity to play.

CHARACTER DAY

Celebrate World Book Day with us! Dress as your favourite storybook character on Friday, 22 April. Think outside the box and use accessories you have at home. We are really looking forward to meeting all the characters in the Midstream College Primary School storybook!

Please note: According to the diary, Character Day is scheduled for Friday, 24 June. We are changing the date to celebrate Character Day on World Book Day (Saturday, 23 April).

CHORAL VERSE

A reminder that Junior and Senior Choral Verse started this week Wednesday, 13 April. If you would still like your child to join our group, they are welcome! Junior Choral Verse accommodates learners from Grade 1 – 3, while Senior Choral Verse is for any Grade 4 – 7 learner to participate in!

Grade 1 – 3: 15:30 – 16:00 (To meet at Mrs Terri Janse van Rensburg’s classroom)
Grade 4 – 7: 15:00 – 15:30 (To meet outside the school hall)

MIDSTREAM CARES – BE INVOLVED!
Each year, Midstream College Primary School reaches out to families in need by providing basic non-perishable food and other household items.

Together with KSM, we want to distribute food optimally and effectively to families in need. Food bags are filled by Midstream families every month and delivered to the school, whereafter they are handed over to KSM for distribution. Alternatively, you can choose to sponsor bags during the year by paying the amount per bag directly into the church’s account each month.

This is an easy way to get involved in charity work and include your children in a caring project.

GRADE 1 APPLICATIONS FOR 2023

Parents are requested to please submit Grade 1 applications for 2023 before the end of April 2022. Please note that the school has switched to an online application system. No hard copy or email applications, please.

GRADE 8 ADMISSIONS 2023

Grade 8 admissions for 2023 will be open until Friday, 29 April 2022. If you would like your child to attend Midstream College, kindly note that you have to complete the application form online.
