Welcome back to all our parents and learners. We trust that our learners are ready for the fourth term. There are only a few school days left for the year, so enjoy every day, believe in yourself and work hard on your exam preparation.

VIRTUAL PARENTS’ AFTERNOON

The Parents’ Afternoon will take place on Monday, 18 October via Zoom sessions. Please make all appointments on the Parent Portal. No emails will be accepted. The Parent Portal will be open from 14 October at 14:00 to 18 October at 12:00.No appointments can therefore be made after 12:00 on Monday, 18 October.

Sign in on the Parent Portal with your “Parent ID” (code starting with the number 3) and password.
Click on the “Student tab”.
Click on the learner’s photo.
Click on “Parent/Teacher Appointments”.
Select a teacher.
Click on a timeslot.

For each appointment made, you will receive an email confirming your appointment, which will also include the Zoom link for that specific appointment (please make sure to also check in your junk mail folder). 

 

TENNIS
The U13 A Boys team that won the A section of the Inter-Africa Truida Kestell Tournament will represent Gauteng at the National Final Round of the BNP Paribas Rising Star Schools Team-championships, at the Arthur Ashe Tennis Centre in Soweto, from 22 to 24 October. Good luck to Jayden Summers, Malan van den Berg, Pierre de la Port and Beyers Pretorius!

 

SCHOOL TENNIS LESSONS FOR THE REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR

The annual 4th term School Tennis Championships are taking place on Mondays and Fridays, from 15 October to 5 November. The normal tennis practices on Mondays and Fridays will be suspended during this period. Normal tennis practices for Grade 2 to 7s during this period will continue on Wednesdays from 14:00 to 15:00. From Wednesday 10 November until Monday 29 November, all practices on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, will continue as normal. The Grade 1 practices will not be affected by these arrangements.

 

GENERAL TENNIS ARRANGEMENTS

If there is any parent of a current Grade 1 to Grade 6 tennis player, who wants to join the General Tennis Whatsapp Group for parents, please contact Nicoline Wildenboer (082 486 1950). General information, arrangements and results are given on this group.

 

CRICKET

Congratulations to the following boys who were selected to participate in the final round of the Northerns Cricket Trials, which are set to take place at Midstream College from 23 to 24 October. We wish these players the best of luck for their upcoming games.

The P4 Athletics meetings will take place on the following dates:
18 October @ Tygerpoort (Junior meeting)
19 October @ Hoërskool Menlopark (Senior meeting)
25 October @ Midstream College (Junior meeting)
26 October @ Hoërskool Menlopark (Senior meeting).
