FROM THE OFFICE

The sound of joyful learners participating in sports and culture in the afternoons is pure music to my ears. When something is taken away, you once again realise its true value.

Participating in extramural activities promotes teamwork, self-discipline, self-control and it builds friendships.

A teenager named Abigail agrees. She says, “Sport is not just about the exercise. It also contributes to your happiness and general well-being. It helps you to learn how to win with humility and how to lose with dignity.”

Do you know what my favourite part of the game is? The opportunity to play.” – Mike Singletary

MINI-HOCKEY FESTIVAL TOURNAMENT

We are excited to announce that we shall be hosting an internal Mini-hockey Festival for our mini-hockey boys and girls at home on Thursday, 16 September, where all our teams will play against each other. Programmes will be sent out closer to the time. Unfortunately, no spectators are allowed to attend the festival.

BIBLE SOCIETY OF SOUTH AFRICA

Midstream College is once again privileged to partner with the Bible Society of South Africa. We wholeheartedly support the project to distribute 2 million Bibles in SA.

The Bible roll (that learners will receive in class) can be used to donate any amount. Every R50 donated will allow the Bible Society to provide one Bible to someone. We trust that these Bibles will become the seeds that grow into hope for many people in our country.

Thank you for supporting this project without any obligation.

You are a sower of HOPE.
