“The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot.” Fortunately, according to Michael Altshuler’s words, we can choose to make the best of every moment. We are in control of the choices we make and how we want to use every precious moment. I wish you a blessed month of spring, a month in which we can choose to celebrate the joy of new beginnings as well as the beauty around us.

SCHOOL GATES Please take note that Gate 2, 3 and 12 close at 7:45. I urge our learners to arrive timeously for the school day.

CASUAL DAY

The National Council for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) is proud to announce the 27th Casual Day on 3 September this year! Inspired by Disney’s newly-announced The Ultimate Disney Princess Celebration, which champions the qualities embodied in our theme Courage + Kindness, we launch Casual Day 2021 with huge excitement.

At Midstream College we are proud to support this worthy cause by purchasing our Casual Day stickers from Tuck In for R20. Please note that payment for stickers may only be made in cash.

What to Wear:
On Friday, 3 September 2021 we call on YOU to help us paint the town’s big and small in ‘powerful purple’ or dress up as your favourite Disney princess or prince.
This theme is not just for the ladies or girls … Which outfit makes you feel brave enough to take on the world?
We want you to feel like your bravest self because when you’re moving through the world with confidence, it makes it that much easier to show compassion for others. Let’s get creative with this theme (please don’t buy anything) and really think deeply about what Courage + Kindness means to us as Midstreamers.

SCHOOL UNIFORM The learners can now choose to wear their summer or winter uniforms. Please note that a learner must wear the full summer or full winter uniform. The winter and summer uniforms should therefore not be mixed. Please take note that learners are only allowed to wear P.E. clothes on the days they have P.E. or/and sport activities after school.
