Newsletter 22                                                                    17 June 2021

FROM THE OFFICE

The safety of our learners, parents and teachers is of paramount importance and our primary concern. Therefore, there are several additional measures, as you know, that we have put in place to further safeguard everyone in order to get through this pandemic while continued teaching takes place.
We look forward to welcoming our learners back in class from Monday, 21 June.

It saddens me that sport and cultural activities have been put on hold for the time being. We look forward to the reduction of Covid numbers, whereafter we shall be able to resume our normal extramural programme.

David Beckham once said: "In my career, there are many things I've won and many things I've achieved, but for me, my greatest achievement is my children and my family." We wish all our fathers a blessed Father’s Day. May your families be your biggest joy and comfort as you celebrate this special day.

We have an opportunity to do something extraordinary. As we live through this pandemic, we can change our world to a world of kindness, compassion and understanding.

MASKS

Correct and consistent wearing of masks is still a critical step in reducing the risk of spreading the Coronavirus.
Please note on a few mask guidelines.
Cloth masks should:
- Have multiple layers (3).
- Provide sufficient filtration.
- Allow comfortable breathing.
- Have cords that fit comfortably but still be tight enough to fit without any gaps around the face.
- BE WASHED EVERY DAY.

Medical/surgical disposable masks should:
- Have multiple layers (3).
- Have comfortable loops and cords, but still be tight enough to fit without any gaps around the face.
- BE REPLACED EVERY DAY.

All masks should:
- Be big enough to cover the nose and mouth.
- Fit properly and should not allow any gaps around the cheeks.
- Be handled by the loops and cords.
- Be worn at all times.

PLEASE SEND AN EXTRA MASK TO SCHOOL EVERY DAY.

If your child has any Cold, Flu or COVID-19 symptoms, keep them at home.

RESPECT EACH OTHER. ‘YOU KEEP ME HEALTHY – I KEEP YOU HEALTHY’

Activities such as Kumon, Ballet, Drama and Young Engineers will also continue in small groups with strict protocols (wearing of masks, etc).
