SIGNING OUT

We would again like to draw parents’ attention to the fact that you need to sign your child out if you collect your child at any time during school hours. The security guards will not allow a learner to leave the school premises on their own or without the necessary permission letter. If your child is collected from school by anyone other than a parent, Natascha in the office needs to be advised in writing at nataschak@midstreamcollege.co.za.

SWIMMING

All learners who would like to participate in the 4th term relay galas, must please attend time trials on Tuesday 8, Wednesday 9 or Thursday 10 October 2019. The trials will be from 14:00 ‒ 15:00 at our school’s swimming pool. Learners may attend trials on any of these three days.

LEADING LADIES – 9 OCTOBER

"BE A GIRL WITH A MIND, A WOMAN WITH ATTITUDE, AND A LADY WITH CLASS."

It's a strange and daunting world we live in... how can we help our young teenage daughters to grow up to be strong, independent and confident young women in this ever-demanding environment they have to navigate daily? In a world where "looks" and "selfies" are more important than class and courage, what can we do to empower and equip them?

This new addition to the Midstream Cultural Festival aims to help parents do just that...

We invite our Grade 6 and 7 ladies to join this event and start their teenage journey with confidence, self-worth and a bit of knowledge on how to present themselves in a world where it is not always easy to be "you".

"BE BOULD ENOUGH TO USE YOUR VOICE, BRAVE ENOUGH TO LISTEN TO YOUR HEART, AND STRONG ENOUGH TO LIVE THE LIFE YOU'VE ALWAYS IMAGINED... "

Date: Wednesday 9 October
Time: 14:00 - 17:00
Cost: R150
Speaker: Hettie Mills
