FROM THE OFFICE
Wow, what an amazing sport-filled week we have had! We are so proud of our A-league swimmers who once again proved themselves a formidable force in the swimming pool and brought home a beautiful trophy again, hailing them the best! Not only are they champions in the swimming pool, but also in the “goosebump” inducing way in which they conducted themselves alongside the pool in their relations with other contestants and in their way of holding Midstream’s name high. We are very proud of our B-team swimmers as well who also swam with sheer determination and achieved well in their new league. Again, our learners make me appreciate their pride and example that they set in both their conduct as well as their care for our environment.
Our weekend was also action-packed. From our boys giving their all at our “Blue Bulls” day on Saturday and many of our Grade 7s assisting wherever they could to ensure the smooth-running of certain activities, to the Netball trials on our courts and people galore. We hosted a most successful day on Saturday and we are grateful to all who participated in any way.
We hosted a very successful Open Day yesterday and were extremely proud of our Grade 6 learners who stepped up to the plate and represented Midstream College Primary School beautifully. Their enthusiasm and positive attitude was refreshing to witness.
It is so important that we carry on with our kindness drive that we are trying to encourage at school and at home as well, as with this endearing attitude towards our fellowman, we can only become the “talk” of the town.
“Kindness is giving hope to those who think they are all alone in this world.”
“Kindness is seeing the best in others when they cannot see it in themselves.”
“Kindness is something anyone can give without losing anything themselves.”
“Kindness is not what you do, but who you are.”

FOOD BAG PROJECT
MIDSTREAM CARES – BE INVOLVED!
Each year, Midstream College Primary School reaches out to families in need by providing basic non-perishable food and other household items. Together with KSM, we want to distribute food optimally and effectively to families in need. Food bags are filled by Midstream families every month and delivered to the school, whereafter they are handed over to KSM for distribution. Alternatively, you can choose to sponsor bags during the year by paying the amount per bag directly into the church’s account each month. This is an easy way to get involved in charity work and involve your children in a caring project.
If you wish to support this project, please register by clicking on the link below after which you will receive more information.
