FROM THE OFFICE
The word “athletics” is derived from the Greek word, “athlon”, which means “competition”. The highlight of the athletics season and competition will take place during our region’s Cluster athletics meeting next Friday. Healthy competition is a good thing as it forces us to give our best. I wish all our athletes everything of the best in the final week of preparations for this event.
I would like to share the words of Henry J. Kaiser with you: “Live daringly, boldly, fearlessly. Taste the relish to be found in competition – in having put forth the best within you.”

YADAH
This week we pray for… the teachers at our school. Foundation phase: Please pray for your own teacher and pray for the teachers in the classes next to your class. Intersen phase: Pray for your register teacher and for at least one other teacher. Of course, you can pray for as many teachers as you want! We pray for positive relationships with children and parents, wisdom, strength, and stamina when they get tired, love and patience, creativity and God’s richest blessings on the teachers and their families.

FOOD BAG PROJECT
MIDSTREAM CARES – BE INVOLVED!
Each year, Midstream College Primary School reaches out to families in need by providing basic non-perishable food and other household items. Together with KSM, we want to distribute food optimally and effectively to families in need. Food bags are filled by Midstream families every month and delivered to the school, whereafter they are handed over to KSM for distribution. Alternatively, you can choose to sponsor bags during the year by paying the amount per bag directly into the church’s account each month. This is an easy way to get involved in charity work and involve your children in a caring project.
If you wish to support this project, please register by clicking on the link below after which you will receive more information.

MUSIC STUDIO
“I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music… I get most joy in life out of music.”
- Albert Einstein
The past year has been a very successful year in the Music department, with winners in different categories at various competitions. We have talented, professional musicians offering music lessons. Students attend 30 lessons per year with the payment thereof divided into 4 instalments. The lessons are 30 minutes per week and the music lessons are attended at the Midstream College studios.
