YADAH
This week we pray for all people suffering from war. May they be held in God’s loving care and protection. We pray that God will give them the strength to endure the suffering and hardship. May they find the inexplainable comfort and healing that only the Holy Spirit can provide. We pray that the Lord will open the eyes of those who perpetuate violence and oppression and to transform their hearts and minds to rather work towards peace and solutions that will bring safety and well-being to their people.

ACADEMICS: EXAMINATION ARRANGEMENTS (GRADE 4 – 7) AND SCHOOL TIMES (GRADE 1 – 7)
We hope that the learners are already busy preparing for the upcoming exams. The school would like to wish each learner and parent well in their preparation for the exams. The teachers and learners are already working hard on revision work in class and we look forward to the academic successes our learners will achieve in this examination.
We would like to share the following arrangements regarding the exams with you.
We would like to give our grade 7 learners special permission to leave at 12:15 on Thursday 9 November to be better able to prepare for the two English papers that they will be writing on Friday. Please be assured that should your child be unable to go home at 12:15, studying opportunities with relevant supervision will be provided until 13:45.
On Friday, 10 November, the Grade 7 learners will start their examinations. The first session starts at 07:50 and will finish at 10:00. Break is from 10:00 – 10:30 and the second session is from 10:30 – 12:00. The Grade 7 learners may go home directly after the examination. If your child has to stay behind at school, they will go to a study class where they can prepare for the next exam paper.
Our Grade 4 to Grade 6 learners have a normal school day (on 10 November) until and including period 7 (11:15). After this, the learners will go to their respective examination venues, where they will receive instructions for the remainder of the exams.
From Friday, November 10, school will close at 12:00 p.m. This applies to both the foundation phase and the intersen phase.
During the exams, the exam session will run from 07:45 to 10:00. Thereafter only the intersen phase learners are allowed to go directly home to study at home. The foundation phase will have a normal school day until 12:00.
Please complete the online form, if your child must not go home and must be included in the study session from 10:30 to 12:00 (only for Grade 4 to 7) and also included in the waiting class from 12:00 to 13:45 (Grade 1 to 7). These two sessions are only available if the learners do not have supervision at home to study or cannot go home.
Please complete the Google form before Tuesday, 7 November if your child will be making use of the study session and/or waiting class.
