FROM THE OFFICE
Congratulations to our cultural groups who achieved outstanding results at the Centurion Arts Festival last Saturday. We are proud of you. All the best with the upcoming performances and competitions.
Our tennis teams in Bethlehem are doing well and it’s certainly a highlight on the tennis calendar. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our Equestrian Team on their achievements.
I want to share the true words of Vince Lombardi with you:
“Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work.”
At our school, we teach our learners loyalty, commitment, respect and trustworthiness towards their school, their friends and their sports teams. When this is in place, participants will be on time for their sports commitments and will not let their team down by not arriving for a game. The learners and teachers are proud of our sports teams, and we believe that anyone who lets their team down, lets themselves down as well as their school. Please support us in our endeavours to teach our learners to show honourable commitment and teamwork.
Kindness towards each other is very near to my heart and definitely a gift everyone can afford to give. My message this week to our learners is through the words of Bob Kerrey: “Unexpected kindness is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of human change.” Let’s focus on kindness as a driving force throughout our school.
