Ask yourself if what you are doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.

Our Grade 4 – 7 learners received their exam breakdown on Monday. The breakdown is explained in much more detail to make it easier for the learners to learn the work. It is important that the learners are well prepared for the examinations, but it is also very important that the learners remain calm and peaceful during the preparation as well as the examinations. The exams are only an extension of the test series, with the advantage that the learners have more time to prepare. All the best with revision and preparation for the exams.

Joe Paterno said: “The will to win is important but the will to prepare is vital.” And in the words of Thomas Edison: “There is no substitution for hard work”.

All the churches in Midstream and surrounding areas. We thank them for the good work they do. We pray for God’s wisdom and guidance for each church leader. We pray for the commitment and participation of each member of the church. We pray for God’s blessing on all our churches and their work.

BIBLE SOCIETY

Midstream College is privileged to partner with the Bible Society of South Africa once again. We gladly support the mission to provide affordable Bibles to the people of South Africa in their own languages. The container that has already been handed out, can be used to donate any amount. Every R100 donated will allow the Bible Society to provide one Bible to someone. We trust that these Bibles will be part of the seeds that bring hope to many people in our country. Thank you for your voluntary support. Please send the containers to your child’s register class teacher by 28 October..

SECOND-HAND SHOP

The second-hand clothing shop has good quality second hand school clothing and school textbooks available. Business hours are Mondays and Wednesdays from 07:00 – 08:00 during the school term. Alternative days are available on the WhatsApp profile picture of the mobile number 082 520 0478.

TENNIS

Please note that trials for 2023 tennis teams, will take place on all courts, every Monday and Friday during October and the first week of November. Players who don’t wish to take part in the trials, are welcome to join the normal practice session on Wednesdays at 14:00 to 15:00. Grade 1 practice sessions on Mondays and Fridays from 13:30 to 14:00, are not affected by this arrangement.
