FROM THE OFFICE
“The meaning of life is to find your gift – The purpose of life is to give it away.” - Pablo Picasso
This past week has certainly been sprinkled with much gift-giving. Our cultural groups have been hitting high notes with the exceptional performances they delivered. Our congratulations go to the String Orchestra, the Senior Choral Verse group as well as the Spreekkoor, who were all awarded first places in their relevant sections of the Centurion Arts Festival. Our Junior Choral Verse group should also be congratulated on their second place.
Our Revue performed in the finals of the Kaleidoscope competition this past weekend and was awarded a noteworthy second place. Their performance was exceptional and we are extremely proud of their achievements to date. (First in 8 Beats and second in Kaleidoscope)
We were blessed with the achievements of a number of our children being placed in the top 5 of the ATKV public speaking competition across the entire country. A special word of congratulations goes out to Erik Botha and Kaylee Knott-Craig, both placed 4th, one for Afrikaans Home Language and the other for First Additional Language.
We are also exceptionally proud of our head leaders who were announced. They are Dawie Barnard and Abigail Roberts as our head leaders and Emil Els, Milan Pöhl, Rupert Groenewald and Aphelele Mbatsha as our deputy head leaders.
There was also a final group of leaders announced. They are Lara Schölly, Alzan Swanepoel, Tamika Naidoo, Mila van der Linde, Adam Marincowitz, Kganya Motene, Ruben de Lange and Nicholas Beukes.
Our learners have also been very active on the sports fields playing cricket, hockey, tennis, mini-hockey and BevCric. As you can see, our learners are very busy and certainly sharing their talents with everyone.
Well done, boys and girls! Keep up your wonderful effort.
