FROM THE OFFICE
Jim Valvano said: “My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person – he believed in me.” I hope all our dads were spoilt rotten on Father’s Day last Sunday.
We look back with gratitude at a term where we were able to return to normal with all our sport and cultural activities. Thank you to all our parents, learners and teachers for an exciting, successful term.
Warmest wishes for peace, health and happiness this holiday. May your home be filled with joy, your life with laughter and your heart with goodwill.

YADAH
This week we pray for:
All the elderly people, grandparents, everyone living in Retire @ Midstream and all the people in the retirement homes in the surrounding areas. Naturally, we also include the staff and personnel of all these retirement homes in our prayers.
“Growing old is humbling and it takes effort to accomplish this stage of life with dignity.”
― Kilroy J. Oldster, Dead Toad Scrolls

ADMISSION FOR GRADE 8S FOR 2023
Due to the overwhelming number of applications for grade 8 for next year, the admission process will take place in phases. The admission is primarily based on academic performance. The first phase has been completed and a number of learners will now be informed accordingly. Factors such as whether you live within the Midstream Estates, already have children in the high school and whether your child was in one of our primary schools also play a role, but unfortunately nothing guarantees your child a place.
During phase two, learners’ second term reports will be considered and a number of learners will again be admitted at the start of the third term. Hence, please be patient. We would, however, encourage you to also have a plan B.
After admitted learners have accepted their places and paid their deposits, numbers will be finalised.
As a result of cancellations and places that become available, a few more learners will be admitted at the start of the fourth term.
